The Wicks looper is an iOS version of a piece of experimental music hardware I build in 2011.
It's all about experimenting with different sounds and noises.
This iOS version of the Wicks Looper is a soft-synth reproduction of a hardware synth that I build in my Etsy store. This looper functions as close as possible to the original unit and will allow many more people to experiance the sounds it produces as I only get to make a few units a month.
Have fun experimenting with the sounds of the Wicks Looper.
The wicks looper has 3 main controls;
The sound control:
This control adjusts the frequency of the tone in the first half of the dial and the level of noise in the second half of the dial, giving two distinct sounds.
The tempo control:
The second control is Tempo, which controls how fast the loop is played. Write the loop at a slow tempo then speed it up for a great effect
The write control:
The third control is the write button, when pressed it writes a sound to memory which is then replayed next time the loop is run. With the sound control knob adjusted anticlockwise, you can add a rest to the loop by pressing the Write button.
Something the original Wicks Looper didn't have; built in effects. By pressing the + button in the top left of the screen you now have a menu of effects that allows you to change the looper sounds.

Some small bugs squashed but mostly an update to keep those with new devices in the loop.
Don't forget the Auto drone, AutophageSeq and Derezzed experimental music apps are still available in my store.
